I just stopped a tornado!

of the world can either cause a tornado on the
other side or alter it’s path or stop it from forming.
It means that one small and negligible event
can become the start of a series of events that
may result to something big.
It’s called the “Butterfly Effect”.
Let me explain.
Yesterday, my family and I went to eat
Chinese buffet.
When it was finally time to pay the bill, I
noticed that they charged Tyler as if he was
3 years old.
So I called up the waiter who brought us
the bill to talk to him about it.
As he was approaching, he looked really
worried and I could almost hear him thinking,
“Uh oh! What could we have done wrong with
their bill.”
So I explained that they charged us wrong, that
Tyler was 4 and that it should have cost about
$3 more.
For the briefest moment, the waiter stared in
shock with mouth gaping like a goldfish out of
water
before his face lit up with a big smile
and said, “Oh okay. Thank you.” He took my
payment and went along.
When you do little things like that, you unwittingly
set in motion certain events that may have very
positive results in the society.
Not only did the waiter surely felt good about
what happened but I also did feel good.
And I’m willing to bet that the waiter told that
story to his coworkers and probably even his
family.
Whether you realize it or not, that small gesture
is a tiny seed of honesty you have sown in the
society that may grow into something really big.
Which gets me to thinking, most of the time we
get people who hug us crying tears of joy at
the closing table about how we’ve helped them.
Whether it’s saving their home from foreclosure
and saving their credit or helping them find their
dream house.
These little things will go on to eventually overrule
the stigma that real estate investors are only out
to “steal houses”.
So what “small gesture” have you done lately?
P.S. I have a student who’s trying to wholesale a
house to an FHA buyer. Here’s a video that will help
you do this in case you find yourself in the same
situation. Watch it here…
